This Privacy Policy describes how CDTC (Curaçao Dolphin Therapy & Research Center) ("we," "us," or "our"), the organizer of the International Medical Conference Curaçao 2025 (IMCC Curaçao 2025), collects, uses, and discloses your information in connection with your use of the official IMCC Curaçao 2025 mobile application (the "App").

This information is collected when you register for the conference and set up your profile within the App:

  • Registration Data: Name, Email Address, Professional Title, Country, and Ticket Type.

  • Profile Information: Any optional professional details you choose to add to your in-app profile.

  • Communications: Records of any correspondence with us regarding the App or the conference.

 
B. Automatically Collected Information
 
When you use the App, we automatically collect certain technical and usage information:

  • Usage Data (Analytics): We track basic, aggregated, and anonymized information about your activity within the App, such as the sessions you view, the pages you access, and the overall time spent in the App.

  • Device Information: We collect standard device information, including your device's IP address, operating system, and unique device identifiers. This is primarily for system maintenance, security, and technical diagnosis.

  • Location Data: We do NOT collect or track your precise geographical location (GPS data).

 
C. Sensitive Information
 
The App is designed for logistical and informational purposes for medical professionals and educators. The App does NOT collect any personal health information, medical history, or sensitive data.
 
3. How We Use Your Information
 
We use the collected information for the following legitimate business purposes:

App ImprovementUsage Data, Device InformationTo understand which features are most used, diagnose technical issues, and improve the user experience for future events. (This data is anonymized where possible.)
Post Conference Follow-upRegistration Data (Email)To send attendees up to two (2) follow-up emails after the conference about IMCC Curaçao 2026. You will be given a clear option to unsubscribe in every email.

4. Sharing and Disclosure of Your Information
 
We will not sell, rent, or trade your Personal Information. We share data only in the following ways:
 
A. App Service Provider (Data Processor)
 

  • We utilize a third-party application developer and hosting partner to operate the App. Your data is stored on their secure servers.

  • Service Provider Name: 365E Curaçao B.V.

  • This company is a data processor and is only authorized to use your Personal Information as necessary to provide these services to us and is contractually obligated to keep your information confidential and secure.

 
B. Networking with Other Attendees
 

  • The App's networking features are designed to facilitate professional connections.

  • The following information IS visible to other authenticated App users: Name, Professional Title, and Country.

  • Your Email Address is NOT visible to other App users.

  • Use of the networking and messaging features is voluntary.

 
C. Sponsors and Exhibitors
 

  • We will NOT share or sell your personal data (including name and email address) with conference sponsors, exhibitors, or any other external company.

 
D. Legal Requirements and Protection
 
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) comply with a legal obligation, (b) protect and defend our rights or property, (c) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of App users or the public, or (d) protect against legal liability.
 
5. Data Security
 
We implement reasonable technical and organizational security measures to protect your Personal Information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. However, no electronic transmission or storage is ever fully secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of the information we collect.
 
6. Your Data Rights
 
You have the following rights regarding the Personal Information we hold about you:

  • Access and Correction: You have the right to request a copy of the information we hold about you and to request that we correct any inaccurate information.

  • Deletion: You have the right to request the deletion of your App account and associated Personal Information. To request deletion, please contact us at curacaoconference@cdtc.info. Please note that deleting your account may prevent you from using the App's features.

  • Opt-out of Communications: You can opt-out of receiving post-conference marketing emails by following the unsubscribe instructions included in those emails.

 
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
 
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
