Chris Connor, Prof. Dr.

(USA) Boston- Harvard Massachusetts, Anesthesiologist. AI in Medicine

Dr. Connor is Associate Professor of Anaesthesia at Harvard Medical School and Vice Chair for Research in the Department of Anesthesiology at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. With an MD and PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Harvard and MIT respectively, he is internationally recognized for his pioneering work in anesthesia informatics, neurophysiology, and translational neuroscience

At IMCC, Dr. Connor will present on a cutting-edge topic at the intersection of neuroscience and critical care:

"EEG Signals After Cardiac Arrest: Towards Predicting Awakening with Open BIS Algorithm Modeling."

In this session, he will share recent research into electroencephalographic (EEG) patterns in patients following resuscitation, and how partial signal processing through the BIS engine can help forecast the potential for recovery of consciousness. Drawing on his recent innovations—including open-source modeling of depth-of-anesthesia metrics—Dr. Connor will explore the implications for decision-making in post-arrest care and the future of neurologic prognostication.

Dr. Connor brings a unique blend of clinical expertise, engineering insight, and academic rigor, and we are honoured to host him in Curaçao.
