Prof. Dr. Elegast Monbaliu is a Part-time Professor and Principal Investigator at the

Neurorehabilitation Technology Lab (NTL) at KU Leuven Brugge. Since 2017, he has led interdisciplinary research aimed at enhancing independent mobility and computer access for

children and young people with complex motor disorders, particularly cerebral palsy. The NTL research focuses on powered mobility, wheelchair training, eye-tracking, automated motion

analysis, and the use of AI in rehabilitation and assessment. He is lead of the Technology & Innovation Taskforce European Academy of Childhood-onset Disabilities (EACD).
