Ryan Jackson, Prof. Dr.
(Curacao) Dean of the School of Medicine
Dr. Ryan Jackson is a physician who has spent his career trying to help make the world a little bit better each day. He is on the board of Educate Girls now, a non-profit organization providing
education to girls and women in Afghanistan. He has provided disaster relief in more than a dozencountries after earthquakes, hurricanes, volcano eruptions, and other devastating events which afflict our world. He has assisted with projects to provide food, shelter, medical care, prosthetic limbs, emotional support, environmental restoration, and education.
He has co-authored books and articles about his work and has spoken about his work at the National Academy of Sciences, the Rio+20 Conference (a UN Conference on Sustainability held in Brazil), The Vatican (for World Water Day 2017), Harvard Medical School, and numerous other institutions. His work in education
has included teaching everything from Spanish and Portuguese literature to advanced medical courses and more than a decade as Executive Dean and Chief Academic officer of medical schools.
In each role, his vision is to help others find the peace which can only come through restored hope
